starting jack with jack control....

G'day!

I've been using jack for a while now with 2 channel soundcards in duplex mode. Lately, I've switched to using an audio8dj card which has 8 channel duplex capabilities. I'd like to continue using jack control with this device as it provides a very handy gui to mess around with connections. However, I cannot seem to get jackd to start with this new configuration.

At this point, I'm able to start jackd from a command line with the follow:

/usr/bin/jackd -r -nDJ8 -dalsa -r 96000 -p256 -i8 -o8 -dttable

...which works great. However, it seems that since I'm not able to select the correct interface in the jack control setup... I cannot invoke jackd with jack control in any way/shape/form. Check the last post on this thread: http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74006 to see my .asoundrc file, if it helps.

Perhaps there's a way to have jack control connect to an already running jack instance? Or alternately.. is there a way to give it my jack command line which works, and have it run with those options?

Warm Regards,
.:triune.
